Do I have to travel to Germany to open a company?

You do not have to travel to Germany to open a company. The managing director signs at a consulate, our legal advisors handle the German notary and registration, and the company is typically formed about one month after the documents are complete.

This suits founders who are in Taiwan, Japan, China or elsewhere and cannot fly to Germany yet. Consultations run on Zoom, by phone or on LINE, and you do not need to create a Zoom account.

The steps are a free consultation, document preparation, company name and payment, consulate notarisation, confirmation of the articles, and notarisation in Germany. Our legal advisors file the formation at the German notary and the registry.

If you already have a target date, say so in the consultation. The one-month figure is the usual timing once the file is complete.
